Community Mindfulness Intensive: Fall Session
COMMUNITY MINDFULNESS INTENSIVE: Fall Session
Friday Mornings, Sept 11 16th-Oct 16th, 10am-12pm Pacific Time via Zoom
Sliding scale: $175-275*
Class size: 10 participants
Together, in a committed group of meditators, we will explore practices that regulate your nervous system, deepen your understanding and practice of mindfulness, foster connection (with self and others) and alleviate stress and anxiety. These teachings are a foundation for cultivating a life lived with wisdom, compassion and wellness for all. This class is ideal for those who have some prior mindfulness experience, and wanting to explore deeper practice.
Over the course of 6 weekly sessions, drawing from buddhist and secular teachings, we will explore:
-the foundations of mindfulness
-how to take our practice off the cushion and into life
-how mindfulness helps us foster inner self-connection and connection with the world around us
-trauma informed tools to cultivate nervous system regulation
-how mindfulness alleviates stress and anxiety
-how to grow resilience and capacity
-how to relate to life on life's terms
Each session may include:
-guided meditation
-relational mindfulness practices
-community discussion
-questions and reflections
-movement based practices
*This course is offered on a sliding scale. You get to choose what you are able to pay. In recognition of the various social, economic and health related factors impacting each person's ability to pay (in particular, those who belong to marginalized and commonly underrepresented communities) PRESENCE offers sliding scale payment options. For those of who are privileged to enjoy economic stability and abundance, please pay at the highest level you can afford.
